Pancake Day, or Shrove Tuesday, is the day before Ash Wednesday which marks the start of the Season of Lent (which, in case you do not know, is a 40-day period of fast and reflection for some Christian denominations, most notably Catholics).
On Pancake Day, ang mohs in the UK eat -- you've guessed it -- pancakes! The story is that since people are going to be fasting, the quickest way to get rid of all the milk, egg etc. is to make pancakes!
Actually, this is more like crepe. Oh, you're supposed to fold it up. I just took the picture before folding it so that you can see the ingredients in its full glory. (^_^)
